Daily Devotional: 22nd April “INTERACTION”

READ: 1 Corinthians 10:1-13

“Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.” – 1 Corinthians 10:12

The first thing to bring to any home is the peace of God (Luke 10:5). The Scripture teaches us to have our feet shod with the Gospel of peace (Ephesians 6:15). Many
people start their interaction with others on a carnal note. It then becomes more difficult to establish a spiritual relationship with someone you have related with carnally.

I remember the unfortunate story of a zealous Christian brother who backslid in a new school. On the first day of school, some unbelievers befriended him. Before long, they were offering him cigarettes, girls and booze. His opportunity to inform them of his Christian beliefs was gone. How could he tell them that he was a religious person when they had accepted him as one of their gang? This brother paid dearly for not saying, “Peace be to this house.” For the next two years, he experienced a horrible era of backsliding and sin.

I always like to first present the Gospel of peace. I want you to know where I stand. Years ago, when I attended an interview for the medical school, students had gathered from all over the country and I did not know any of them. I entered the hall and began to speak boldly in tongues. Everyone heard those tongues. They knew that I was some kind of a bornagain, charismatic zealot. I had indirectly informed them about the Gospel of peace which I stood for. From that moment, unbelievers and Christians alike knew my stance.

Is your stance for Christ known? Is it obvious to all?
