READ: 2 Peter 1:1-10

For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that YE SHALL NEITHER BE BARREN NOR UNFRUITFUL in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and HATH FORGOTTEN THAT HE WAS PURGED FROM HIS OLD SINS. :- 2 Peter 1:8-9

From the scripture above, we see that barrenness is also caused by forgetfulness. Forgetting that salvation comes to people when they are purged from their old sins, by the blood of Jesus, is a major cause of barrenness.

Today, salvation is not a popular topic in the body of Christ. There are ministers who look down on the salvation message that Billy Graham preached. These people forget that salvation is the doorway through which sinners come into the body of Christ. Most ministers of the gospel cannot preach for one hour on the topic of salvation.

Salvation comes through the preaching of the gospel. We are not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Why are we not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ? Because the gospel of Jesus Christ has the power of salvation! When the gospel is preached, people are saved, people are born again and people are changed. That is why it is important to preach the gospel. We cannot be ashamed of the gospel. We cannot forget the gospel of Jesus Christ. That is how we found salvation.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
Romans 1:16

The gospel of Jesus Christ is the news that God sent His Son into the world and His Son shed His blood that we might be saved. The gospel of Jesus Christ is the news about the cross and the great price that was paid for the salvation of the world. The gospel of Jesus Christ is a specific message that cannot be altered or changed whatsoever.
