Judgement in the Hands of Men

TEXT: “When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? Hath no man condemned thee?” John 8 :10.

Judgment if it was left by God in the hands of men would have been terrible. Jungle justice. But God in His love is the just judge, the final judge. The Psalmist said, if you oh Lord should mark our iniquities who can stand before you? In our anchor text, the Accusers said in John 8 :4 – 6; “… Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.

From our anchor text, Jesus knew it was a serious conspiracy against the woman and Jesus said in John 8 :7; “… He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.” because Jesus knew they were determined to destroy the woman, no matter what he tells them they had already condemned her to death. Jesus said I did not come for the righteous but sinners. God’s judgment is full of love and compassion, God is always looking out how to rescue not to condemn unlike man.
In the same vein, Jesus disciples saw a man that was blind from birth and they were debating to know who sinned for they believed the man’s sin is the reason for the blindness John 9 :2; “And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?” People always attach sickness, poverty, situation that is not favourable as punishment for sin. But Jesus said in John 9 :3; “… Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made Manifest in him.”
Child of God, the testing you are going through today is not for you to listen to men’s judgment but God, focus on God because you are coming out victorious and His name would be glorified in your life.
PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, I receive the power to overcome and come forth shinning when I am trained.
