TOPIC: The Cry For Personal Revival (Mountain Of Fire and Miracle Ministries, MFM Daily Devotional 30 June 2019)
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Job 17-19; Acts 10:1-23
FIRE SCRIPTURE: Zephaniah 3:17-20
MEMORY VERSE: “My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?” – Psalms 42:2
The MESSAGE:
A hymn writer wrote, “Revive the church today.” The heart cry of many mature and interceding Christians today is that God should send down revival to the Church. However, the truth is that the Church of God may not experience revival until individual believers experience it. The Holy Spirit is the chief agent of revival. Therefore, our cry to God should be that He makes people experience revival individually. Our sermons and message in churches as well as in personal evangelism should be to teach people to desire and seek to experience revival. My question for you dear reader is, “Are you in a revival as an individual?” If you are, your soul will be panting after God as the hart pants after the water brooks (Psalm 42:1) and you will be seeking above all things the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all other things will be added to you (Matthew 6:33). The truth is that as an individual, God wants you to be in a revival. Without being revived as an individual, God’s investment on your life cannot yield dividend and His purpose for your life cannot be fully achieved. You are supposed to be God’s workmanship and purpose partner. Revival will help position you to be all these and more in God’s agenda.
But what is revival? A revival is a divine visitation ordained for our supernatural change of position (Genesis 50:24; Exodus 3:7-10; Zephaniah 3:17-20; Luke 7:13-16). When men’s hearts begin to pant after God for who He is (Psalm 34:10; Matthew 6:33). When walking in the fear of God becomes a way of life among God’s people (Isaiah 62:10-12; Psalm 112:1-3). When God’s people begin to take pleasure in the things of the kingdom as a way of life (Matthew 6:33; Psalm 102:13-15; Haggai 1:14).
When the spirit of prayer and supplication is poured out on God’s people with intensity, consistency and diverse testimonies in return (Zechariah 8:20-23; Romans 8:26). A revival is a move of God that rescues God’s people from age-long bondages, culminating in their supernatural change of levels. (Habakkuk 3:2-6; Habakkuk 3:17-19; Haggai 2:3-9). A revival is a move of God that drafts multitudes into the kingdom, thereby turning churches into cities without walls (Joel 2:28-29; Micah 4:1-2; Zechariah 2:4-5).
Beloved, I encourage you to earnestly desire, seek and experience personal revival. Next, let God use you through sharing His word, prayer and intercession for the revival of every member of your family. Then pray earnestly for the revival of the Church of God. The time is now!
