TOPIC: The Power of Resurrection (Mountain Of Fire and Miracle Ministries, MFM Daily Devotional 1 August 2019)
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Psalm 57-59; Romans 4
FIRE SCRIPTURE: Philippians 3:7-11
MEMORY VERSE: “I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.” – John 11:25
The MESSAGE:
The authentication that Jesus Christ atoned for our sins is not only in His death alone, but in His resurrection from the dead. That is the reason Paul said: “He was delivered for our offenses, and He was raised for our justification” (Romans 4:25). The great confirmation that the blood of Jesus Christ is the power of God to expiate sins is that He was raised from the dead.

There is no better man to know and to write about this than Apostle Paul. After his transformatory meeting with Jesus on the road to Damascus, Saul of Tarsus, later Paul the Apostle, was blind for three days. On the third day, a prophet of God was sent to him to heal him of his blindness. So, in essence, Paul was also dead and he “resurrected” on the third day. So he knows what he was saying. Paul was also an educated Jew, trained in the finest elite school of that race. A lawyer by training and of the denominational sect of the Pharisees, he says, “All of those things gladly did I give up, that I might win Christ, that I might be found in Him … that I might know Him and the power of His resurrection” (Philippians 3:8-10).
There was only one thing that Paul desired to have and that was the Lord Jesus Christ. There was only one thing that Paul desired to be and that was to be identified, to be lost in the Lord: to die with the Lord, to die to the world; to be raised with the Lord, to be raised in the newness of the resurrected life; to ascend with the Lord, to be glorified with the Lord, to be at home with the Lord. There was nothing that Paul desired to know but the Lord Jesus Christ — Him first. “that I might know Him and the power of His resurrection” (Philippians 3:10) first to know the Lord.
That is also what we, as believers should desire to know, and to have. This is because the resurrection of Christ Jesus is more than just an event that happened once in history. It is the summation and the source of the power that all righteous believers can experience in their lives, every day of their lives. Beloved, the same resurrection power that brought Jesus from death to life is available for you today. If you can only tap into it, you will see the amazing transformation of the resurrection in your own life too.
MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE:
EVERY PARTING GIVES A FORETASTE OF DEATH; BUT COMING TOGETHER GIVES A FORETASTE OF THE RESURRECTION.
PROPHETIC WORD:
If you are willing to die to your flesh, you will resurrect unto the newness of Christ.
