The MESSAGE:

Love is a very deep phenomenon that is difficult to describe. Of all kinds of love, God’s kind of love is outstanding. Agape love is God’s kind of love. It is love that seeks the highest good of others. Agape love is purely the sacrificial act of love, where others are served over self. The Bible clearly states that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. God’s kind of love is not motivated by our perfection but by God’s nature, for God is love.

Love is the God approved mark of true discipleship (John 13:34-35). Agape love has the following features: It is self-seeking, not selfish. It is unconditional; it is immeasurable and unending; this kind of love is incomparable and sacrificial.

It is the demonstration of this kind of love that the thief on the right hand of Jesus on the cross received and entered into paradise. This kind of love is what we must always pattern our lives after in order to nurture healthy relationships, populate the kingdom of God and have a better society. Agape love brings about character transformation and it facilitates peace and harmony with self and others. Allow the Holy Spirit to work on you and to work through you for this kind of love to flow through you to others.

When you have this kind of love, you will enjoy divine fellowship and have access to God’s secrets. It is this kind of love that got us saved. It is this kind of love that will see us through in our Christian race. Make up your mind to be a channel through which this love flows and Christ will forever be glorified in you.

5. O LORD, help me to see men the way You see them, in the name of Jesus.
6. Hatred and unforgiveness, depart from my heart, in the name of Jesus.
7. Holy Spirit, overshadow my life afresh, in the name of Jesus.
