TOPIC: Confidence In Prayer (Seeds Of Destiny 13 January 2025)

SCRIPTURE: And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: 1 John 5:14.

THOUGHT: To pray according to His will is to be guaranteed answered prayers. It has been confirmed that confidence is a critical necessity of life.

Seeds Of Destiny For Today 2024 MESSAGE:

Our anchor Scripture makes it clear that confidence in prayer is critical to receiving answers to prayer. There is a confidence we must have in God before we receive answers to our prayers.

In life, what is the benefit of confidence?

1) Confidence is Key to Competence.

When a person is not confident, he is not competent. To do it well, you must be confident. Whatever you do in life, your competence is a product of your confidence.

In the same way, if you must pray with competence, you must have confidence in prayer.

2) Confidence is the Fuel for Courage.

Confidence makes a person courageous in life. “Prayer Courageousness” is fuelled by prayer confidence. Confidence has the power to increase one’s staying power in God’s Presence.

3) Confidence is key to conquest.

Confidence is key to victory. There are many defeated people in life because of lack of confidence. So, at the place of prayer, confidence is key to victory; Confidence is the conquerors back bone. Anywhere you see a conqueror, his back bone is confidence. Now, according to our anchor Scripture, I will give you one basis for our confidence in prayer, and that is,

To pray according to His will is to be guaranteed answered prayers.

This is the first basis of our confidence in prayer. When we pray according to the Will of God, we are sure that we do not waste our time, and we are sure our prayer is answered. This means, God’s will is answered prayers waiting to be prayed. Anytime you access God’s will, you are in touch with answered prayers that is waiting to be prayed. And we know that God’s will is God’s Word. When we know that God’s will is answered prayers waiting to be prayed, it gives us the confidence that we are not struggling for answers. If we can know His will then we have answers, we are only waiting to pray the answers.

Remember this: To pray according to His will is to be guaranteed answered prayers.

ASSIGNMENT:

1. Make up your mind to pray the Word of God when you pray.
2. Always pray with confidence anytime you pray as you pray with the Word of God.

PRAYER: Father, I receive confidence of answered prayer as I engage Your Word. Help me to pray effectively, LORD, in Jesus’ Name.
