TOPIC: Rising By Positive Character (Seeds Of Destiny 22 October 2024)

SCRIPTURE: …she required nothing but what Hegai the king’s chamberlain, the keeper of the women, appointed. And Esther obtained favour in the sight of all them that looked upon her. – Esther 2:15

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: To possess quality character is to be positioned in authority.

Seeds Of Destiny For Today 2023 MESSAGE:

The Scripture confirms that good character catapults people to the place of authority in life. To possess good character is to be positioned in authority.

Most people that gained authority in Scripture gained it by character; and most people that lost authority in Scripture lost it by the absence of character.

One good example of a person that got to the throne by the frequency of character was Queen Esther. When king Ahasuerus was looking for a replacement queen for the dethroned Vashti, every maiden who came for the training under Hegai demanded whatever they wanted, but Esther asked for nothing more than what was given to her. This speaks about the character of contentment and absence of vanity. It also shows the level of Esther’s self-control.

In our world today, there are people who see money and lose control, but Esther required nothing, except what was given to her.

Esther 2:15 says,
…she required nothing but what Hegai the king’s chamberlain, the keeper of the women, appointed. And Esther obtained favour in the sight of all them that looked upon her.

Eventually, Esther was crowned queen. Thus she gained authority by character. She was catapulted into authority by the demonstration of the character of contentment, self-control and the absence of vanity.

Show me a person who is not given to covetousness, a person who is self-controlled, a person who is not given to vanity, and I will show you a person whose future is secured. The truth is, your destiny is not greater than your character. Even if you have a great and enviable destiny, you need quality and positive character to fulfil it. You rise in life by positive character just like Esther.

Beloved, I decree today that the grace for quality and positive character be released on you in Jesus’ Name.

Remember this: To possess character is to be positioned in authority.
