TOPIC: Frustration From Evil Money (Seeds Of Destiny 24 January 2024)

SCRIPTURE: Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, – Matthew 27:3.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Illegal money brings frustration; unrighteous money is key to depression.

Seeds Of Destiny For Today 2023 MESSAGE:

Judas Iscariot was one example of people who took what they have not been legally given by God, and faced bitter consequences.

Judas was Jesus’ treasurer, but he always stole from the treasury bag. He did not just stop at stealing from the bag, but decided to sell the Master of the Universe.

You see, Judas Iscariot was callous, so callous that all the money he stole from the bag was not enough for him. He decided to sell Jesus Christ, the Messiah of the whole earth for just thirty pieces of silver. Thirty pieces of silver was the price of a slave in Israel at the time.

When he realised the consequences of his actions, he returned the money he was paid for selling Jesus Christ to the temple, and hanged himself out of depression. Judas Iscariot committed suicide. What a tragedy!

Beloved, evil money brings frustration; unrighteous money is key to depression. Judas Iscariot did not profit from all the money he made illegally till he died.

The chief priests took the silver pieces, and said that it was not lawful for them to put the money into the treasury, because it was the price of blood. That is to say, it was blood or evil money.

That means such evil money cannot be given as offering to God. So, they took counsel together and bought the potter’s field with the money to bury strangers. The money was used to purchase a cemetery.

That is to say, the highest achievement of Judas Iscariot in life was the purchase of a cemetery. The money he made from selling the Master could only be used to buy a parcel of land for burial purpose – burial ground.

The questions to ask are: Is cemetery an asset? Is there anyone who will go to the cemetery for recreational or leisure purpose? Even in the day time, when people pass by a cemetery, they walk very fast.

Beloved, it was the money Judas Iscariot got from selling Jesus Christ that killed him. Be warned!

REMEMBER THIS: Evil money brings frustration; unrighteous money is key to depression.
