TOPIC: Are You A Giver Or A Receiver? (Seeds Of Destiny 9 October 2024)

SCRIPTURE: I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive. – Acts 20:35

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The practitioner of love has a higher advantage than the beneficiary of love.

Seeds Of Destiny For Today 2023 MESSAGE:

Our anchor Scripture makes it clear that the gain of loving and giving is more for the giver than for the receiver. It is more blessed to give than to receive.

The blessing of giving outweighs the blessing of receiving. Every giving process is more beneficial for the giver than for the receiver. Even though the receiver may be excited, the giver has more rewards.

One may be excited for receiving a pair of new shoes, car, suit, money, houses, etc, but the giver of those gifts has more and greater rewards than the receiver.

Sometimes, you may be discouraged from showing love because of negative human actions. You may be discouraged from showing love because of ungrateful people. But you must always remind yourself that givers of love have more gains than receivers of love. The practitioner of love has a higher advantage than the beneficiary of love.

Beloved, this is the winning mind-set. All the things you do in life are controlled by your mentality. Your mind-set dictates your behaviour, and so cultivating a healthy mindset is key to living a productive life.

One healthy mind-set to maintain is that your increase is tied to your giving; your resources are tied to your releases.

However, as you practice the acts of giving, you meet people who always want to frustrate you.

You help them, but they hurt you, and so, you are tempted to stop giving both to God and to men.

But God is reminding you to have a mentality that helps you to keep going, and that mentality is that the gains of loving and giving are far more for the giver than for the receiver.

When you know this, there is no devil in human form that can stop you from releasing love both to God and to people.

Remember this: The practitioner of love has a higher advantage than the beneficiary of love.

ASSIGNMENT:

1. Refuse to be discouraged from loving and giving both to God and to people.
2. Embrace the attitude of giving; be a practitioner of love.

PRAYER: Lord, I ask that You put me on a higher pedestal of life, the pedestal of giving and releasing love. I receive the grace to do it consistently, and not occasionally, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
