Topic: More Focus For Our Thought

Let the thought of the path of your God-ordained purpose and destiny occupy your mind always.

SCRIPTURE: Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee. Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established. Proverbs 4:25-26.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Let the thought of the path of your God-ordained purpose and destiny occupy your mind.

Previously, we saw some of the things we need to focus our thought on. We saw that it is necessary to think on God’s Word, God’s Works and on what is desirable and lovable.

Today, we shall be looking at more things to focus our thought on.

  1. The path of purpose and destiny

Let the thought of the path of your God-ordained purpose and destiny occupy your mind. Ask yourself: “What am I doing with my life? How impactful will my life be in the land of the living? What will I be remembered in eternity for? What mark am I making on the sands of time and eternity?”

Proverbs 4:25-26 says, Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee. Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established.

This means, you ask yourself, “How can I make my life more useful to God? How can I make my life more profitable to my generation?” Fix your thought on the path of purpose and destiny.

  1. The priorities and posteriorities of life.

Think about what you want to put in front of you (Proverbs 4:25-26). Ponder the path of your feet. Don’t look left or right but just face your front.

Think on what you have done in the past that is profitable and do it again and again. Ask yourself, “In what way have I engaged my life and time in the past that did not profit me? How can I put them behind? What are the things that I am meant to put in front to pursue now?” When you do this, you are set for a glorious and explosive destiny.

The truth is, there are some friends around you that you may need to put behind. You don’t hate them, but they haven’t added any good thing to your life. They could be very demanding of your time, patience, and love.

It may be a job that doesn’t profit you. It could even be a habit. Put them behind you. Do what you need to do today and don’t wait till tomorrow. These are the things you need to focus your thought on.

Remember this: Let the thought of the path of your God-ordained purpose and destiny occupy your mind always.
