“Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ” (Romans 5:1).
Text —Romans 5:1-18
Message
“Don’t worry to pay. I’ve paid the bus fare for you,” many soul winners have enjoyed that benevolence without soliciting for it on descending a commercial bus where they have shared the good news with the passengers. So also a number of teachers have had their meals paid for in restaurants by their ex-students. In the two examples, no debt can be recorded against either of them because somebody has paid for them. It means their records are clean.
The two illustrations above explain the doctrine of justification through Jesus Christ. Justification has been described as an act in which a person is declared guiltless. When a sinner repents of his sins and receives Jesus as Lord and Savior, the blood of Jesus cleanses all his sins and it is as if he had never sinned. He has no more guilt and Satan can no more successfully accuse him of those sins. The blood has justified him and he is spared of God’s wrath. However, you can only remain saved and justified, if you abide in Christ.
