TWO DESTINIES

MEMORY VERSE: “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat”

TEXT: MATTHEW 7:13-14

God, in His infinite wisdom, created man and gave him the freedom to make decisions. For every decision, there are always options and man must choose what to do. Sometimes, the choices are simply between good and bad. For every choice we make, there is always a consequence. Hence Mike Murdock said that, “Decisions create destinies.” Whatever choice a man makes ultimately determines his destination or destiny!

Today’s text reveals the counsel of Jesus to all His listeners on the necessity of understanding the way to heaven and the way to hell, as well as those who choose the ways and what keeps them in either of the ways. The way to heaven is narrow and it takes salvation and holy living to continue in it. The broadway leads to hell, and is taken by sinners and backsliders. It requires no effort to enter and walk in it; and so, many choose it. What choice are you making? Which way have you decided to travel on? If you are a sinner, repent now to live a holy life and make heaven at last.

QUOTE: The way to heaven is narrow.

PRAYER: Oh God, help me to remain in the narrow way, in Jesus’ name.
