PLANNING WITH CHRIST’S PERMISSION
MEMORY VERSE: “For I will not see you now by the way; but I trust to tarry a while with you, if the Lord permit” (1 CORINTHIANS 16:7).
The Lord is the ruler over man’s plans. He does have work for us, both in the church and in the world, to do. We must plan accordingly, and include God in our plans. God thinks of and knows everything about His children. James condemns any form of planning that excludes God. The apostle said, “For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that” (James 4:15).
You cannot do anything without God. He is Omniscient, and has the capacity and resources to control our destiny. We should believe God to achieve His plan through prayer to pull everything together successfully. Being patient during a dark time could be a difficult task, but we should not run ahead of God, even at such a time. Step into your tomorrow with God at the centre of your affairs. Depend on Him for guidance and direction. God is faithful to His word; so, have faith in Him in your planning and undertakings in life. He will not disappoint you if you honour Him by allowing Him to lead you.
