FAITH GENERATES MIRACLES

MEMORY VERSE: “And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. And he said come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus” (Matthew 14:28 – 29).

TEXT: MATTHEW 14:25 – 31

Man cannot walk in the supernatural without implicit faith in God and His Word. In our Bible text of today, Peter demonstrated active faith that made him dare to do the impossible because he was standing on the word of God “… And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. And he said, Come.” Peter keyed in to his Master’s single word of command, “Come,” and he was able to walk on the water to go to Jesus, fully clothed. He became the only man outside of Christ in recorded history to walk on water. In a moment, he broke the Law of gravity and Archimedes’ Principle of Floatation. What a faith! What a miracle! God honours faith.

Friend, with faith in God, take little steps towards your goals despite glaring obstacles. However, your faith must be persistent. The moment Peter took his eyes from the Saviour to the sea and winds, fear and doubt crept in and he began to sink. But he cried out for help, and Jesus saved him.

PRAYER: Lord, increase my faith.

CHALLENGE: In storms, keep your eyes fixed on Jesus
