THE WHOLE ARMOUR OF GOD – 1
MEMORY VERSE: “Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil” (EPHESIANS 6:11).
The Christian life is a war against sin and Satan. There are battles that are raging over your life, family and faith in Christ. The Bible tells us that we are in a war against Satan, who seeks to destroy us through temptation to sin. Therefore, we must take action and put on God’s whole armour. The armour of God represents our defensive and offensive weapons for constant victory.
As a Christian youth, it is important for you to understand the severity of this war. We are commanded, from our text, to stand firm, be strong, and put on the whole armour of God. The first relates to our position in the battle, the second – our disposition; and the third, our weapons. Please take note that our weapons are not physical in terms of human wisdom, techniques or arms (2 Corinthians 10:4).
You can only resist Satan when you have surrendered your life to Christ. Then stand for the truth, speak the truth, live a righteous life, and pray always. Stand against the devil’s schemes anytime and anywhere you find yourself, and victory will be yours.
