WORTHY WORSHIP

MEMORY VERSE: “God is a Spirit and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth”

TEXT: JOHN 4:21-26

The Oxford Dictionary gives the meaning of worship as the feeling or expression of reverence and adoration for God as a Divine being or supernatural power. It means to have regard with great or extravagant respect.Thomas Carlyle said, “No greater calamity can befall a nation than the loss of worship.” To express a worthy worship is to show a lot of love and adoration for our Creator, the Maker of the heavens and the earth because He alone is worthy. The Scripture reveals,”Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created” (Revelation 4:11).

He is the God who deserves our worthy worship even when we feel the world is broken, we worship Him; when the shadows cast over us, we worship Him; when things go on smoothly or roughly, our hearts must make the choice to praise and worship Him and sing a new song unto the Lord our God. Let’s worship the Lord heartily always for He alone is worthy of worship.
