THE JUDGMENT SEAT

MEMORY VERSE: “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad”

TEXT: 2 CORINTHIANS 5:10-13

In our society there are many youths that are consumed by the burning desire for temporary pleasures that can damn the soul, They do not think about the implications of their actions which have future and eternal consequences. Recounting past mistakes, Amanda Blake said: “I believe that I would not have smoked had I seen a label on a cigarette package or in a cigarette add that said ‘Warning: Cigarette smoking may cause death from heart disease, cancer or emphysema.

’” This submission is coming from someone who regretted smoking because she was ignorant of its consequences on the human health. Dear youth you cannot claim you have not heard about the danger of sin today because the gospel is being preached everywhere.

Remember that everyone would appear before the judgment seat of God in due time like Lazarus and the rich man did. The rich man lived in sin and wickedness and received eternal damnation as his reward, while Lazarus was granted a comfortable place at Abraham’s bosom. Dear youth prepare to meet the Lord at judgment seat with clean hands and hearts.

PRAYER: Father, help me to live a worthy life, in Jesus’ name.
