The White Stone (Part 2)

“But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ…” Philippians 3:20 

In the city of Pergamos, when someone was really loved, or if they became a great friend, even though they weren’t born in Pergamos, the king would give them the most highly honored gift that the city could give a person. It was called “The White Stone of Citizenship.”

Once they received this gift, they immediately became members of the city. They were instantly adopted into that family of people. They were given citizenship to live, buy, and move freely throughout the city. They were also even given some land to live on. 

It’s wonderful to know that one of these days when Jesus Christ comes back, He’s not only going to give you a “White Stone of Justification” but also a “White Stone of Citizenship.” You are promised a place to call home after this life on earth is over. A beautiful city with breathtaking features created with you in mind. A place where you can reunite with your loved ones and see the face of your Father, who has been with you since you were born.

You are going to a home where there is no more sorrow, no more problems, no more broken relationships, and no more sin. There will be no more lust, greed, war, hospitals, or graveyards. 

It took God six days to make planet Earth. It’s a beautiful earth, but He’s been working in heaven for over two thousand years! If He could create the earth in six days, just imagine the place that “eyes have not seen, and ears have not heard.” Can you even fathom the kind of citizenship you’re going to have when you get on the other side?

There will be “streets of gold,” “mansions,” “gates of pearl,” and “seas of glass.” The city has no lighting system because “the Lamb is the light,” the Word says. That’s the citizenship you will receive.

If you want to be pardoned of your sins, receive a new identity, and get citizenship to Heaven, pray this prayer today:

Heavenly Father, I come to You in Jesus’ Name. I know that is the only name whereby I must be saved, and I ask You, Jesus, to cleanse me now, wash me in Your blood, and forgive me of my sins. Lord, this is the hour that is going to change my destiny. God, this is a moment that is going to be recorded eternally. Write my name down in that Book of Life. Lord, I want the “White Stone of Justification.” I want to be complete in You. I receive Your forgiveness. I forgive myself, and I thank You for bringing this to my heart right now. You’ve come into my heart and given me the resurrection power to come out of death into life. And I thank You, Jesus, for Your precious blood, not my works; I am justified just as if I’ve never sinned. I have been accepted as a citizen of Heaven. Thank you, Lord. Amen.
