What Seeds Are You Planting?

“So Jesus answered and said to them, ‘Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.’” Mark 11:22-23

Words are like seeds. If you plant flower seeds, it’s only a matter of time before flowers grow. Words are like seeds. Whatever you are sowing out of your mouth through the fruit of your lips- that’s the kind of fruit you can expect. Words change the atmosphere of your life.

Hebrews 13:15 says, “Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.” Words are so powerful that the fruit of your lips is called praise. This fruit is what God begins to form and fashion in your life. Whatever you continually praise Him for is what you will see. How many days have you wasted by not planting any seeds of success? You can confess today that your steps are ordered. “The steps of a righteous man are ordered of the Lord.” You can praise God because “He shall supply all my needs according to His riches and glory.” Thank Him that you’re blessed and highly favored. Praise Him because you know that He has begun a good work in you and your family and He will carry it on to completion until the day that Jesus returns.

You have to start praying differently. Don’t just sit back and talk about the hardship happening in the present moment. In Mark 11, Jesus said, “Speak to the mountain, and it will be moved.” He said if you believe in what you are speaking, you will see it come to pass.

What are you saying about your teenager? What are you saying about your marriage? What are you saying about the economy and your finances? Quote the word of God to these mountains and believe in your heart that you serve a God of miracles. God can move the mountain of cancer, financial disaster, and addiction. But you have to open your mouth and speak the truth in faith.

The Bible says, “Let the weak say I am strong.” When you confess that verse, you are throwing seeds out. You may be going through a terrible ordeal, but say, “I am strong, and I’m not going to give into despair and depression. I don’t care what I’m feeling, what I’m sensing, or what my emotions are screaming. I trust in God.” You may have struggled with addiction, but you need to proclaim, “I’m not going back to alcohol. I won’t go back to drugs. I am strong.” When you start saying words like that, God forms a new you in the future. Declare today: “My marriage is strong. My children will serve Him always. My faith will never waver. My home is secure in Christ.”

Stop just accepting whatever hell want to send your way. Send it back! Mark it “return to sender” today!
