Today’s Scripture

Jeremiah 1:5, AMP

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you [and approved of you as My chosen instrument], and before you were born I consecrated you.”

Today’s Word

Before Jeremiah did anything good, before he showed up on planet earth, God said, “I’ve approved you and given you an assignment.” Too often we’re trying to work for God’s approval, to be good enough, strong enough, disciplined enough. The problem is that we all fail, we all make mistakes, but that doesn’t change the seeds of greatness that God put in you. You can still fulfill your destiny; you can still become who you were created to be. Don’t let the accuser convince you that you’ve blown it too many times, that you don’t measure up, that God is mad at you.

God is saying to you today, “I’ve approved you. You were born with favor. Your destiny has been carefully planned. I have forgiveness for your mistakes and favor for your future.” He is breathing in your direction right now. Chains that have held you back are being broken. New doors of opportunity are about to open. There’s an assignment for you to accomplish. Get ready. The greatness God put in you is about to come out.

Prayer for Today

“Father, thank You that You approved me before I was formed in my mother’s womb, long before I made my first mistake. Thank You that You love me despite my weaknesses and failures. I declare that I am going to step into my assignment and become all You made me to be. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
