Say Not

Today’s Scripture

Jeremiah 1:9, NIV

Then the LORD reached out his hand and touched my mouth and said to me, “I have put my words in your mouth.”

Today’s Word

When God told Jeremiah that he was going to become a great prophet and speak to nations, He quickly added, “Jeremiah, say not that you’re too young to do this.” He knew that if Jeremiah started telling himself that he was not qualified and didn’t have what it takes, he would never become who he was created to be. Then He touched Jeremiah’s lips and was saying, in effect, “Jeremiah, say what I say about you. Don’t say how you feel, or what the experts say, or what it looks like. Zip that up. Start saying what I say about you.”

Say not that you can’t get well; our God is a healer. Say not that you can’t accomplish your dream; our God is a way maker. Say not that you’ll never have enough; our God is a provider. Now get in agreement with Him. Start sending your words out in the right direction. When you speak victory, health, and abundance, you’re moving toward what God says about you, and you’re drawing in blessings, favor, and increase.

Prayer for Today

“Father, thank You for the calling and purpose You have given me. Help me to not just zip my lips when I have negative thoughts, but help me use my words to declare what You say about me. I believe that as I send my words out in the right direction, You will lead me into victory. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
