Strength in Reserve

Today’s Scripture

Deuteronomy 33:25, NKJV 

“As your days, so shall your strength be.” 

Today’s Word

As long as you drive a large SUV with an eight-cylinder engine on flat roads, the engine is quiet. But when you start going up a steep mountain road, you hear those extra two cylinders kick in and actually feel the extra power. It was always available as strength in reserve.  

The good news is that God has some strength in reserve for you. Today’s Scripture says your strength will always be equivalent to what you need. If you were to get a negative medical report, you’re going to have the strength to deal with it. You’re not going to fall apart. You may face some challenges where you think, “How can I make it up this mountain?” The reason you think that way is you haven’t felt the full force of God’s finishing grace. When it kicks in, you’re going to climb mountains that you thought were way too steep and overcome obstacles that looked insurmountable. You’re going to feel a force pushing you forward, taking you where you could not go on your own. It’s strength in reserve.

Prayer for Today

“Father, thank You that You are a very present help in times of trouble. Thank You that You always have strength in reserve to help me move forward through every season of my life. I declare that I can do all things through the full force of finishing grace. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
