Be Selective

…you’ll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse.

Philippians 4:8, MSG

Today’s Word

What’s playing in your mind? What are you giving access to? You can’t think negative and have a positive life. You can’t think sickness and get well. You can’t think lack and have abundance. The battle is taking place in your mind. Why are you letting destructive thoughts in? Why are you letting fear roam around? Why are you letting worry have free reign? Why are you allowing doubt to hold you back? You have complete control over what you let in. You can’t stop negative thoughts from coming and knocking on the door, but you don’t have to give them access. Be selective of what you allow in. Fill your mind with and meditate on these positive, hopeful, faith-filled thoughts today. “God is restoring health to me. As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. My children will be mighty in the land. I’m a masterpiece. I’m one of a kind. I’m made in the image of God. I’m crowned with favor. I’m wearing a robe of righteousness. I have been fearfully and wonderfully made.”

Prayer For Today

“Father, thank You for giving me Your promises to meditate upon. Thank You that Your Word instructs me to think on things that are true and right, wholesome, pure, and of good report. I declare that I will be selective in the thoughts I allow in. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”ARCHIVE
