Don’t Forget

Today’s Scripture

Psalm 106:13, NIV

They soon forgot what he had done and did not wait for his plan to unfold. 

Today’s Word

Psalm 106 describes how the Israelites did not enter the Promised Land because they got impatient and complained against God, thinking He had forgotten about them in the wilderness. It’s a mistake we often make. We get in a hurry for God to work something out in our life, and we fail to trust and wait on Him. We forget that if it hasn’t happened yet, it hasn’t been the right time. When God is ready, all the forces of darkness cannot stop Him.  

When we go through difficulties that we don’t understand, it’s easy to sit around discouraged and anxious, wondering if it’s ever going to change. How we wait on God in these times is important. We have to wait in an attitude of faith, knowing that God is working all things for our good in His time. People who oppose you don’t determine your destiny. Bad breaks, disappointments, or even mistakes you’ve made don’t cancel what God has ordained for you. When you wait for God’s plan to unfold, it is going to exceed your greatest expectations. 

Prayer for Today

“Father, thank You that when You created me, You also ordained a plan for my life. Thank You that You are working behind the scenes and unfolding Your plan at just the right time. Help me to be patient and know that You are always on schedule. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
