2 Corinthians 3:18
But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.
God often asks us to let go of a good thing before He will place the better thing into our hands. If He is out in front, pulling us into deeper waters, we cannot stay in place. We must close our eyes, suck in a great gulp of air, and make the leap of faith.
Better waits in the upcoming year! God is weaving all the pieces of our lives together for the good. We are not stuck in a forgotten place. We are divinely positioned, so that we are being changed from one degree of glory to the next, in ever-increasing brightness and beauty, to look more like our Father.
When we act like a child clinging to the edge of the pool, He urges us to let go of that comfortable spot – from the only life we know – to take a leap of faith. Even as He backs up a bit, He encourages us to keep breathing, to keep kicking. He promises to always be there, alert and ready to scoop us up.
Let go of whatever holds you back. Take that leap into His waiting arms! Every breath makes us bolder. Every kick grows our confidence. The risk is worth the reward!
Today’s Blessing:
May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you and give you His peace. Take the leap! May you joyfully meet the new year, anticipating the ever-increasing glory God wishes to reveal to you.
