Psalm 139:1
O LORD, You have searched me and known me.
More than a fuzzy image in a large group photo, God sees each one of us as individuals. He created us in His likeness, and His heart is bent towards us.
He was there when we were formed in the secret places and knew every page of our stories before we lived one. He knows if we rise early or stay up late. No matter where we roam on this great, big planet, He sees us there. He numbers every hair on our heads and knows the words we will speak before we open our mouths.

When we accept Him as Savior, He makes each of us a “lively stone” in this huge spiritual house that He is building. He gifts us with unique talents and abilities that we can put to work to help others and advance His kingdom. He instructs and teaches us in the paths that we should take, and He always has an eye on us (Psalm 32:8). We can rest under His protective gaze.
And when life breaks our hearts, He promises to draw near. When we go through the fire or the flood, He vows to be with us. He will not allow us to be overwhelmed. He will hear our cries and deliver us from every trouble. How reassuring to know that He holds our hands and holds us in His hand.
Today’s Blessing:
May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you and give you His peace. He cares for the sparrows and the lilies, and He will watch over you. Rest in His loving promises to you.
