John Hagee Devotional – Topic:1 John 1:7 Daily Devotional 26 April      2023

But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the Blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.

The Blood that Jesus spilled at Calvary was no ordinary Blood. His Blood washes every stain. His Blood breaks every chain. The Blood of the Lamb of God reaches farther than that of any other lamb ever sacrificed. The Blood of the Only Begotten soars to the highest heaven and plunges to the lowest hell. It knows no limits.

His Blood makes all men acceptable to God. Slaves are now set free because Christ became the Servant of All. The One Who knew no sin became sin for us so that we could become the righteousness of God in Him (II Corinthians 5:21). We were once far away from God, but we have been brought near through the Blood of Jesus (Ephesians 2:13). We now have access to the place where grace abounds and mercy is poured out. We once were enemies of God, but we have been reconciled to Him through the death of His Son (Romans 5:10).

Because we are justified by His Blood, we are saved. Saved to live our best lives. Saved so that the stain of sin has been washed away. Our past is forgiven. The weight of shame has been lifted. What the Law demanded was satisfied when Jesus shed His Blood. Our debt has been paid. Through His Blood, we are now adopted as children, and we can call God our Abba Father (Romans 8:15). We have been made free indeed.

Do not allow the guilt of yesterday to keep you from where God made it possible for you to go. Do not allow any yoke of oppression or chain of bondage hold you back. The Blood of Jesus makes you righteous. Your sins have been washed as white as snow.

Satan, the accuser of all of our brothers and sisters, is overcome by the extraordinary Blood of Jesus, our spotless Lamb, and by the word of our testimony (Revelation 12:10-11). Jesus has shed His Blood. Let us stand and testify to His work in our lives. Because He died, we are alive. Because His grace is greater, our sin is forgiven. Because He endured the shame, we do not carry it. The promise of our future is greater than the guilt of our past. Only through His Blood!

Blessing:

Precious Jesus, thank You for the Blood that washes away my sin. Thank You that the evidence that was stacked against me has been erased. Cleanse me from all unrighteousness. Wash me whiter than snow. May I always be ready to tell the story of all You have done for me. In Your name…amen.
