TOPIC: Global Poverty Headquarters (III) (Mountain Of Fire and Miracle Ministries, MFM Daily Devotional 14 May 2019)

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: 2 Kings 19-21; John 4:1-30

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Deuteronomy 8:11-18

MEMORY VERSE: “And I brought you into a plentiful country, to eat the fruit thereof and the goodness thereof; but when ye entered, ye defiled my land, and made mine heritage an abomination.” – Jeremiah 2:7

The MESSAGE:

Reports state that Africa in 2018 has more Christians than any other continent, but that unless there is a change of circumstances, by 2030 it will account for 90% of the global poverty population.

If our God is the giver of wealth and the Christian world is the wealthiest on earth today, it is our duty to eliminate poverty using the world of God as our guide.

In addition to foundational defilement, other culprits include ignorance, lifestyle issues and incompatible spiritual environment.

Ignorance of the potential money-making chances of God-given talents and opportunities available has demoted many to beggar status. God asked Moses, “What do you have in your hands?” A mere shepherd’s rod turned Moses into the greatest chief executive in the world and a tool for destroying Pharoah. Who knows the rod that God has placed in your hand to destroy your Pharoah of poverty?

In addition, considering the fact that both the Government and oil companies together can employ less than 10% of the population, ignorance of opportunities for self-employment has demoted many to perpetual job seekers.

The most pathetic culprit of poverty is the poverty mindset. This includes blaming others (government, society, employers, everybody and anybody) for poverty you have imposed on yourself. It also includes conspicuous consumption, contempt for small beginnings and a languid approach to life.

Wake up brethren! God Himself set the example for hard work when He planted a garden in Genesis 2:8 and He worked night and day for six days before resting on the seventh.

Must you start work as a manager when you do not even know the rudiments of the business? The only place where you start from the top is the grave.

The money spent on aso-ebi (attires and dresses worn to attend ceremonies) and parties is mind boggling. Nobody cares about your designer wrist watch or shoes. I encourage you to wage war against poverty. Change your mindset and attitude.

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE:
POVERTY IS A KILLER. BE DETERMINED TO LIVE ABOVE IT.

PROPHETIC WORD:
Anti-prosperity forces working against your lifting shall die now.

PRAYER POINTS:

MORNING

  1. O Lord, let my Jacob become Israel today, in the name of Jesus.
  2. Let my bald Samson begin to grow hair now, in the name of Jesus.
  3. Let every evil conspirator gathering against me be disbanded, in the name of Jesus.
    EVENING
  4. Let the evil vow against my future be rendered null and void, in the name of Jesus.
  5. You power that quenches the fire of God in one’s life, I am not your candidate, die, in the name of Jesus.
  6. Every deeply-rooted problem in my life, be uprooted, in the name of Jesus.
  7. I reject every evil domination and bondage in my life, in the name of Jesus.
