16 And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son:

17 That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;

18 And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.

PROPHETIC WORD FOR TODAY:
YOUR HEAVEN SHALL OPEN AND THE RAIN OF BLESSING SHALL FALL UPON YOUR LIFE, IN THE NAME OF JESUS.

The MESSAGE:

God is a God of provision. When you put your trust in Him, He will provide and care for you (Philippians 4:19). In our Fire Scripture today, we read the story of Abraham who by faith was about to sacrifice all (Isaac) to God. Did it make sense to sacrifice the son that took him many years to get? No, it didn’t make sense. More so that he had sent Ishmael and his mother away. Yet Abraham was prepared to obey God because he believed that God who had promised that in Isaac would the world be blessed will do whatever He would do to fulfill that promise, even if He had to raise him from the dead.

Isaac asked his father for the lamb for the offering (Genesis 22:6-7). Abraham answered, “God Himself will provide the lamb for the sacrifice” (Genesis 22:8). One of the Hebrew names of God is Jehovah Jireh, which means God will provide. Abraham was rewarded greatly because he was ready to give to God sacrificially. As a result of this, he was given a great reputation, a great family and all nations were blessed through him. It might interest you to know that it was through his family line that Jesus, who gave the ultimate sacrifice, came to the world.

What is God asking you to surrender as an act of giving? Trust God that He will give you back more than you give. He will take care of your needs. He is a God of provision. When you give sacrificially, He will surely provide for you. The only way to receive God’s provision is through faith and obedience. In 2 Kings 4:3, God provided for the widow. The same God of multiplication will provide for your needs. When God wants to provide for you, He often requires you to take the step of faith and obedience. God’s provision came when she sought the right help. Her miracle began with her willingness to do what Prophet Elisha instructed her to do. The same key of obedience had worked for the widow of Zarephath.

Give God your offerings, tithe and firstfruits faithfully and see how He will provide for you. You may be thinking or asking yourself, “If I give my tithe, my firstfruits, what will I be eating? Don’t worry yourself about that. Remember the promises of God for you in Matthew 6:25-33.

You are better than the fowls of the air and the lilies of the field. God will take care of your needs and multiply what you have left after you have given to Him. He will provide for all your needs (Philippians 4:9).
