TOPIC: An Ambassador For Christ (I) (Mountain Of Fire and Miracle Ministries, MFM Daily Devotional 13 November 2019)

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Lamentation 1-2; Hebrews 10:1-18

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Ephesians 2:4-5

MEMORY VERSE: “Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.” – 2 Corinthians 5:20

The MESSAGE:

Hidden in Him, seated in heavenly place know this:

An ambassador is a representative of a body, organisation or nation. He provides a link between his host and the nation or organisation he represents. He also builds good relationship between them. He is appointed by those he represents and is given authority to speak on their behalf.

An ambassador must represent the message of his leader, who is not present directly. He must also be an embodiment of the character of his leader. We are ambassadors for Christ as noted by Paul in 2 Corinthians 5. We represent the kingdom of God, having got its citizenship through the death and sacrifice of Christ. We became citizens of the kingdom of God and not of the world when we became new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17).

Our work as ambassadors is to spread the gospel of Christ, the message of reconciliation. God wants to be personally reconciled to people of the world. As a church of God, we are to announce the kingdom of God and preach the gospel for people to repent and in turn, become the ambassadors for Christ too. If we are to represent and present Jesus to the world, we must first belong to the kingdom of God instead of the kingdom of self. We must live by the standards of our new being, though He is not present with us. We must also accept that this world is not our home, that our eternal home (heaven) awaits us (Ephesians 6:20). As ambassadors, we must spread His message that everyone is welcome to have salvation and a relationship with God. Tell everyone the good news, so they can join the kingdom of God.

To follow Christ means to give up everything about self and the world –take up your cross, deny yourself and follow Him. Our allegiance must be to the kingdom of God (Matthew 16:24-25).

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE:

WE ARE ANOINTED FOR OUR ASSIGNMENTS ON EARTH BECAUSE THE ANOINTED LIVES WITH US. HE IS FULFILLING HIS WILL THROUGH US.

PROPHETIC WORD:

As you spread the gospel of the kingdom, the good Lord will continue to reward you.

PRAYER POINTS:

MORNING

1 Carelessness in my life assigned to hand me over to the devil, die, in Jesus’ name.

2 Every weakness in my foundation that the enemy wants to use to destroy me, I destroy you, in Jesus’ name.

3 Every power that wants to advertise my obituary at all cost, die now, in Jesus’ name.

EVENING

4 Witchcraft powers, that want to use my life for promotion at all cost, die, in Jesus’ name.

5 Song: “O Lord my God arise, let my pursuer flee into desert today, let my pursuer flee”, in Jesus’ name.

6 Physical and spiritual hunters, working with the spirit of “make-sure”, hunting for my life, you are liars, die, in Jesus’ name.

7 Sword of the hunters, raised to cut off my head and to shed my blood, not my head, not my blood, therefore arise, cut off the head of your owners and shed their blood, in Jesus’ name.
