BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Leviticus 19-21

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Psalm 25:16-18 (KJV)

16Turn thee unto me, and have mercy upon me; for I am desolate and afflicted.

17 The troubles of my heart are enlarged: O bring thou me out of my distresses.

18 Look upon mine affliction and my pain; and forgive all my sins.

MEMORY VERSE: “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” – Isaiah 41:10

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE:
Except you are alone with God, loneliness is nothing but an emotional drain, an unconscious self-imprisonment.

PRAISE WORSHIP: Take a worship song as led by the Holy Spirit

PROPHETIC WORD FOR TODAY:
I DECREE THAT EVERY VEIL OF DARKNESS SHIELDING YOU FROM DIVINE ILLUMINATION BE LIFTED AND ROASTED TODAY, IN THE NAME OF JESUS.

The MESSAGE:

The world today is infested with, “I”, “me”, “my”, and “mine”. This is a far cry from the desire of God for His children. We are first and foremost expected to be in intimacy with God, then with fellow humans.

Loneliness could occur as a result of many reasons, hidden or open. These include the feeling of being unloved, unwanted or abandoned. It starts with funny thoughts, strange imagination and untrue conclusions about a person, situations and relationships. It degenerates into harbouring fear, insecurity, suspicion, hurts, wounds, pains, keeping records of offenses, misconceptions, doubts and more. It could also be as a result of personal issues arising from disappointment, discouragement, betrayal, and all such.

Whatever the cause, loneliness is a kingdom of self! God is shut out and fellow men too. The victim sees and judges issues from his own faulty perspective. He doesn’t see what is good in others, hence he lives and operates alone. This negative attitude becomes an easy access for the enemy. The devil creeps in to be the cheerleader and preacher to the person. He takes advantage of this situation to build his stronghold in his mind and offers ungodly counsel, thereby compounding his problems. He ends up stealing the peace and joy of such his victims.

Are you lonely? Do you often feel alone even when in a crowd? Do you feel unnoticed, uncomfortable and unwanted in the midst of friends? Do you have the tendency of easily withdrawing whenever there is an issue to be resolved? Do you dislike confrontation? Are you comfortable keeping malice? Do you feel offended whenever you’re not on the winning side? God respects healthy and godly quietness not an ominous one! Loneliness breaks and destroys the network of people around you and can take you deeper than you ever bargain. The enemy enjoys the person who engages in solitude without the Holy Spirit.

We should always remember the counsel of God’s word not to forsake the gathering of the saints (Hebrew 10:25; Psalm 133:1-3). Jesus emphatically told us that offence cannot but come (Luke 17:1a). God promises to always be by His children, hence, with Him you can never be lonely.

No matter your troubles and woes, loneliness is not the answer. 1 Corinthians 10:13 says that God is able to deliver you from all your troubles. God sees your pains and can sort you out. Don’t be a slave to your problem! Trust God and there shall be a way out, in Jesus’ name.
