FIRE SCRIPTURE: Joshua 1:1-6

MEMORY VERSE: “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.” – Ephesians 6:10

The MESSAGE:

Many believers are finding it difficult to possess the inheritance Christ earned for them because they are not strong and courageous. Ignorance is no bliss. As a Christian, you have been made a Victor by the finished work of Jesus at Calvary and His resurrection. You are not a victim but victor. The first thing for your victorious Christian life is to change your mentality in this regard. That is when you can fulfil God’s command to be strong and courageous.

Joshua saw how God greatly helped Moses and he never lost any battle. As Joshua was starting his ministry as Moses’ successor, God gave a promise and assurance, “No man shall be able to stand before you all your days. As I was with Moses, so will I be with you to help you…” (Joshua 1:5).

God also told Joshua to be strong and courageous. The reason being that God had already given the Promised Land to the children of Israel and was ready to defeat and drive out the ungodly inhabitants. Joshua needed to be strong and courageous for him to lead the children of Israel into their inheritance. He needed to always remember that God was with him and the nation he was leading. Leaders are arrow heads and so influential that if they have divine strength and courage, it rubs off positively on the followers. If they lack these vital divine leadership tools, it will affect the followers negatively. I pray that God will fill you with His strength and courage, in Jesus’ name.

MORNING

1. I receive strength and courage from the Lord, in the name of Jesus.

2. Spirit of timidity and cowardice, I am not your candidate, die, in the name of Jesus.

3. Giants assigned to keep me from possessing my Promised Land, die, in the name of Jesus.

EVENING

4. Father, make me invincible and unstoppable, in the name of Jesus.

5. Father, in my secular and spiritual assignments, let Your presence be with me, in the name of Jesus.

6. I receive the power to confront and conquer my enemies, in the name of Jesus.

7. Strength and courage to fulfil my destiny, fall upon me now, in the name of Jesus.
