TOPIC: That God May Be Glorified (Mountain Of Fire and Miracle Ministries, MFM Daily Devotional 7 March 2021)

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Numbers 28-30

FIRE SCRIPTURE: John 9:1-3 (KJV)

1 And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth.

2 And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?

3 Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.

MEMORY VERSE: “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” – Romans 8:28

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE:
There is no limit to what God will do for the believer who will let Him have all the glory.

PRAISE WORSHIP: Take a worship song as led by the Holy Spirit

PROPHETIC WORD FOR TODAY:
GOD WILL GLORIFY HIMSELF IN YOUR LIFE NOW AND ALWAYS.

The MESSAGE:

Why do bad things happen to good people? If you have often pondered about that problem, you are not alone. There is only one answer: God allows bad things to happen to His people only if He sees a way of turning the bad into a greater good.

Romans 8:32, our Memory Verse today, reveals that God specialises in bringing the best out of unpleasant things that He permits to happen to His children. Someone asked, “Why did God Himself commend Job’s righteousness and still permitted satan to afflict him so terribly that he lost everything except his soul?” The answer is that God permitted it because He knew He would bring greater and more glorious results out of it. He gave Job, after his trial, twice what he had before and his faith and patience are useful lessons for us today.

In John 9, the disciples of Jesus asked who had sinned for the blind man to have been born blind: his parents or the man himself? Jesus told them that no one sinned and that God only permitted the man’s predicament so that He would glorify Himself in his life. God was indeed glorified because Jesus restored his sight to the amazement of all people.

Joseph’s envious siblings sold him into slavery at 17, thinking that they had killed his dream and God-ordained greatness. They were wrong! Again, the Bible reveals that God allowed him to go through hard knocks and pain for 13 years. In the end, his dream was fulfilled. His brothers paid obeisance to him as the Prime minister of Egypt. Though they were afraid, he assured them that God meant everything that happened to him for good.

Beloved, whatever God permits to happen to you will turn out as a beautiful testimony. Trust and obey God; He will turn your experience around and use it to glorify His name.
