The MESSAGE:
Every secret of the kingdom has a key to unlock and a code to decode in our daily walk with God. The Bible emphasises righteousness, obedience and covenant relationship with God. Righteous living is a key to generational prosperity. Abraham was a righteous man, the Bible records that he was the richest man in the East; Isaac by covenant of righteousness became excessively rich, so much so that he was envied by the Philistines. Righteousness is one of the strongest keys to Godly prosperity as it is clearly recorded in Psalm 1:3: “And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.” Psalm 92:12-13 also affirms that the key to Godly prosperity is righteousness: “The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God.”
Obedience wins the heart and favour of God. Job 36:11 affirms this: “If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.” Obedience is better than sacrifice. God’s secret key to prosperity is with them that are obedient to His word and the promises in the Scripture revolve around obedience. Isaiah 1:19 says “If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land.” The key to possess the earth is given only to the obedient and willing children of God.
A covenant is an agreement between two parties. It can be between man and man, man and a god, man and the devil or man and God. The book of 3rd John 1:2 says: “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” The Bible says God will not break the covenant he had with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Deuteronomy 29:9 says “Keep therefore the words of this covenant, and do them, that ye may prosper in all that ye do.” The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is a covenant keeping God. No one that had kept His covenant was ever poor in all biblical history. David declared that, since he was born and now he is old, he has never seen the righteous forsaken nor his children beg for bread. This is what a covenant God has with His children. As covenant children of God, Godly prosperity is our right. We are covenant children of Abraham therefore, the key to Godly prosperity is in our hands, as we seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness.
