MFM Devotional For Today 2024 MESSAGE:

Mordecai lived such a rich life that we almost could not exhaust the lessons he has to teach us. I pray that we too will live a blessed, eventful and impactful lives, in Jesus’ Name. Today, we want to look at how Mordecai handled his political and leadership career even in a strange land.

God had rewarded and compensated Mordecai for his faithfulness and loyalty. He was made the second in command of the Persian kingdom. I want to reiterate that God does not owe people. If you have been faithful, be faithful still, don’t give up. It may not look like it now, but wait for God. He will show up in ways you do not expect. Do not give up on your process. Remember Mordecai was once a gateman before he got here. So, enjoy your own process too. Submit yourself to God for pruning and at the end you will come forth like gold, in Jesus’ Name.

In our memory verse, we saw how Mordecai handled his position even as a leader. “For Mordecai the Jew was next unto king Ahasuerus, and great among the Jews, and accepted of the multitude of his brethren, seeking the wealth of his people, and speaking peace to all his seed”. He did not get to the top and start to maltreat people. He did not use his position to torment citizens. The Bible says he sought the wealth of his people, He didn’t get there and start embezzling the money that is meant for the entire populace. He defended the interest of citizens. Also, people had peace during his tenure. So many people have attained leadership positions only to misuse it. They oppress people and make them cry bitterly. Such was the case with Asa in 2 Chronicles 16:10.

Let me warn you, if you are a leader in any right and people are shedding bitter tears because of you in that position, let it be known that the Lord of Sabaoth will hear their cry against you if you don’t repent. Note that the mills of the Lord grind slowly yet it grinds exceeding small. There will sure be retribution sooner or later. I counsel you to lead in the fear of the Lord if you have been called to lead in any capacity.

PRAYER POINTS:

MORNING

  1. O God, arise and change my story to glory, in the Name of Jesus.
  2. O God, arise and turn my mockery to miracles, in the Name of Jesus.
  3. Every Haman occupying my position, be unseated and die, in the Name of Jesus.

EVENING

  1. I shall not be a bad leader, in the Name of Jesus.
  2. I shall make positive impacts, in the Name of Jesus.
  3. I shall be an eternal excellency, in the Name of Jesus.
  4. I shall be the joy of many generations, in the Name of Jesus.
