TOPIC: His Presence Alone (Mountain Of Fire and Miracle Ministries, MFM Devotional 13 July 2021)

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Psalms 86-89

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Genesis 3:7-9

7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

8 And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.

9 And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?

MEMORY VERSE: “And he said unto him, If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence.” – Exodus 33:15

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE:
People don’t change; they reveal who they really are, because no one is really busy. It all depends on what number you are on their priority list.

PRAISE WORSHIP: Take a worship song as led by the Holy Spirit

PROPHETIC WORD FOR TODAY:
DON’T BE FRUSTRATED. YOU ARE IN THE PRESENCE OF YOUR MAKER, AND HE WILL RAISE YOUR HEAD UP, IN THE NAME OF JESUS.

The MESSAGE:

The presence of God is felt all over the entire world. God is present in our lives but we do not always see His presence, because life’s distractions and calamities often shield us out of His voice.

God did not design life to be lived alone. He puts Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden and would bring His presence down always to commune with them in the Garden (Genesis 3:8). The Bible describes man’s life as a walk with God.

God’s presence was also with Enoch. The Bible says Enoch walked with God. His presence was also with Noah who built God’s ark for 120 years. Abraham was called the father of all nations; God was in his life.

I want you to always remember that a person can gain the presence of God and the same person can lose God’s presence. Sin and wilful disobedience are major reasons that people lose God’s presence.

The benefits of having God’s presence are innumerable. When you are lonely, His presence will cheer you up. When you are worried, His presence will calm you down. You don’t have to worry if God is with you in trouble. When you are tempted, His presence will help you out. You must always be conscious of His presence. Psalms 46:10 says, “Be still and know that I am God.” God’s presence will help you to develop a spirit of praise. Psalms 22:3 calls God the One who inhabits the praises of Israel. God’s presence will bring you happiness (Psalms 126:2), holiness, because every time you are in His presence you are surrounded by thousands of angels.

God is present in our lives, but sin cut it off in the life of Adam. His grace stepped in and paid the price. To overcome man’s sin and ensure his purposes are fulfilled, the Creator became the Covenant Redeemer. God did all of this so that He can be our God and we can be His people.

God wants His presence to be with His people. In Exodus 29:45-46, He said He would dwell among the people of Israel and be their God, and they shall know that He is the Lord their God who brought them out of the Land of Egypt that He might dwell among them.

Beloved, the purpose of the church is tied to the presence of God.
