1 And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech.
2 And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there.
3 And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them thoroughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for morter.
4 And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.
5 And the Lord came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded.
6 And the Lord said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.

MFM Devotional For Today 2024 MESSAGE:
Vision also has to do with imagination. It is often said that if you can think it, you can do it. Problems are solved through the power of vision. That is why all great achievers are visionaries. In our Fire Scriptures, we read about some people who, through the power of imagination, began to do the seemingly unthinkable. Genesis 11:6 says, “And the Lord said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.” The power of imagination is so strong that it is only the power of God that can stop it. This is one form of power that majority of people do not maximize although God has made it available to everyone.
Ignorance of who they are and what they can do has limited a lot of people and stopped them from becoming who God wants them to be. In Hosea 4:6a, the Bible says, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. The power of imagination is one of the greatest gifts that God has given to man. It allows us to create; after all, the Scriptures also say that we are gods. It is a powerful tool that can shape our perceptions of reality, and change the world. One of the most remarkable things about imagination is that it has no limits. Let us use this power to create that which does not only sustain us but also contribute to the well-being of those around us. It highlights the transformative power of having a goal or purpose that transcends immediate circumstances.
We must learn to pray and seek the face of God on how we can make positive impact in our families, environment and society at large. The Bible rightly says in Jeremiah 33:3: “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.”
PRAYER POINTS:
MORNING
- O Lord, empower me to make positive impact in my generation, in the name of Jesus.
- I refuse to live an ordinary life, in the name of Jesus.
- O Lord, shake out the seasons of failure and frustration from my life, in the name of Jesus.
EVENING
- I refuse to be caged, in the name of Jesus.
- I overthrow every wicked law working against my life, in the name of Jesus.
- I ordain a new time and season for my life, by the power in the blood of Jesus, in the name of Jesus.
- Every shackle of limitation around my destiny, break by fire, in the name of Jesus.
