TOPIC: Telling Jesus (I) (Mountain Of Fire and Miracle Ministries, MFM Daily Devotional 14 March 2021)

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Deuteronomy 8-10

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Matthew 8:23-27 (KJV)

23 And when he was entered into a ship, his disciples followed him.

24 And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep.

25 And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish.

26 And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.

27 But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!

MEMORY VERSE: “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” – 1 Peter 5:7

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE:
Those who leave everything in God’s hands will eventually see God’s hand in everything.

PRAISE WORSHIP: Take a worship song as led by the Holy Spirit

PROPHETIC WORD FOR TODAY:
I DECREE THAT THE LORD WHOM YOU SEEK AND SERVE DAY AND NIGHT WILL TURN YOUR PROBLEMS TO TESTIMONIES, IN THE NAME OF JESUS.

The MESSAGE:

In 2 Chronicles 16:12, the Bible records the story of King Asa who was afflicted with a terrible disease. Instead of him to turn to Jehovah for his healing, Asa sought the help of physicians. King Asa died in his sickness. The lesson here for you as a New Testament believer is that you should tell Jesus your challenge all the time.

Jesus is the High Priest of our profession that can be touched with the feeling of our infirmities. He is our ever-present help in trouble. He is able to save to the uttermost those who come to the Father through Him because He daily maketh intercession for them. Jesus is all-knowing, all-powerful and all-sufficient. In His earthly sojourn and ministry, individuals brought personal problems to him and got solutions. Parents told Him the worries they had about their children and He helped them. Rulers told Him their problems and got His help. You should take a cue from this.

It is not right to cry over your challenges, complain bitterly, blame God or someone else. The right thing to do is to tell Jesus your concern. The mistake many people often make when they have any challenge, is to concentrate on telling human beings that they regard as experts and live Jesus out of the equation. What should you tell Jesus?

Tell Jesus your perils or dangers. The best person to tell when you are in danger or peril is Jesus. He will save you to the uttermost. When Peter was sinking, he shouted, “Lord save me!” Jesus did save him (Matthew 14:30). In Matthew 8:25, when the disciples observed that the ship they were sailing with Jesus in, was covered by tempest and storm, they woke Jesus up and said to him, “Lord, save us: we perish.”

Present your questions to Jesus (Matthew 24:3). He has answers to all the questions about your life, career, marriage, finances, ministry, the Kingdom of God and eternity. His answer will open your understanding, give you direction and make you succeed where others fail.

Are you sick? Is your child or sibling or relative or neighbour sick? Tell Jesus about it. He is the Great Physician. He is the Balm of Gilead. On the Cross, He took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses. The Bible affirms that by His stripes we were healed. In Mark 1:30, the Bible records that Simon Peter’s mother’s wife was sick of fever. What did the disciples do? They told Jesus about it and He healed her. No matter what you may be passing through, tell Jesus about it now!

PRAYER POINTS:

MORNING

  1. I acknowledge and declare that it is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in princes, in the name of Jesus.
  2. I cast all my burdens upon Jesus Christ and leave them there, in the name of Jesus.
  3. I declare that the Lord is bigger than any mountain that confronts me, in the name of Jesus.

EVENING

  1. I declare that the Lord is my confidant and helper, in the name of Jesus.
  2. Powers that want to shipwreck my faith, you are liars, die, in the name of Jesus.
  3. Powers that want to shift my gaze, focus and dependence away from Jesus, die, in the name of Jesus.
  4. I declare that no one shall pluck me out of the hand of Jesus and the Father, in the name of Jesus.
