TOPIC: Telling Jesus (II) (Mountain Of Fire and Miracle Ministries, MFM Daily Devotional 15 March 2021)

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Deuteronomy 11-13

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Mark 6:31-44 (KJV)

31 And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.

32 And they departed into a desert place by ship privately.

33 And the people saw them departing, and many knew him, and ran afoot thither out of all cities, and outwent them, and came together unto him.

34 And Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, and was moved with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things.

35 And when the day was now far spent, his disciples came unto him, and said, This is a desert place, and now the time is far passed:

36 Send them away, that they may go into the country round about, and into the villages, and buy themselves bread: for they have nothing to eat.

37 He answered and said unto them, Give ye them to eat. And they say unto him, Shall we go and buy two hundred pennyworth of bread, and give them to eat?

38 He saith unto them, How many loaves have ye? go and see. And when they knew, they say, Five, and two fishes.

39 And he commanded them to make all sit down by companies upon the green grass.

40 And they sat down in ranks, by hundreds, and by fifties.

41 And when he had taken the five loaves and the two fishes, he looked up to heaven, and blessed, and brake the loaves, and gave them to his disciples to set before them; and the two fishes divided he among them all.

42 And they did all eat, and were filled.

43 And they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments, and of the fishes.

44 And they that did eat of the loaves were about five thousand men.

MEMORY VERSE: “Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.” – Hebrews 7:25

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE:
Focus on God, not your problem. Listen to God, not your insecurities. Rely on God, not your own strength.

PRAISE WORSHIP: Take a worship song as led by the Holy Spirit

PROPHETIC WORD FOR TODAY:
I PROPHESY THAT IN ALL SITUATIONS, GOD’S GRACE WILL ALWAYS BE AVAILABLE AND SUFFICIENT FOR YOU, IN THE NAME OF JESUS.

The MESSAGE:

Yesterday, you were admonished to learn from the mistake of King Asa, who sought a physician for healing instead of telling the Omniscient, Omnipotent and Omnipresent God his problem and getting his healing from Him. As a New Testament believer, you were enjoined to tell Jesus, our High Priest, your perils or dangers and your questions that beg for answers. Let us look at other things you should present to the Lord to handle for you.

Tell the Lord your difficulties. The Bible encourages you to cast all your cares, burden and worries upon the Lord, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). In Mark 6:35-36, Jesus had taught a large crowd of people for a long time and they were now hungry. His disciples saw that the people had nothing to eat and that it would be difficult for them to get food where they were. They told Jesus about the difficulty and advised Him to send the people away to go and look for bread to buy and eat. As far as the disciples were concerned, it was practically impossible to feed 5000 or more people, but because they took the matter to Jesus, He multiplied the five loaves of bread and two pieces of fish that they had, fed the people and they had leftover. In the same way, I decree that, henceforth, every difficulty you present to the Lord will become a testimony, in the name of Jesus.

Note that in the last example, the difficulty presented to Jesus by the disciples was out of their concern and care for the large crowd who were hungry. It means that you can present other people’s difficulties to the Lord for intervention. Besides, you can also tell the Lord about your personal need. Jesus is the best Person to share your needs, pains and concerns with. He is a friend like no other. In Mark 10:51, Jesus asked a blind man, “What do you want me to do for you?” He answered, “Lord, that I might receive my sight.” Immediately, Jesus restored his sight.

Beloved, isn’t it heart-warming that you can tell Jesus all your difficulties, challenges, needs and concerns? Isn’t it a great privilege to know that His eyes are always upon you and that His ears are ever open to your cry? He does not just listen to you; He solves your problems and gives you everlasting joy!
