TOPIC: The Hand Of The Lord (I) (Mountain Of Fire and Miracle Ministries, MFM Devotional 17 May 2021)

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: 2 Samuel 22, 23, Psalm 57

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Joshua 4:20-24

20 And those twelve stones, which they took out of Jordan, did Joshua pitch in Gilgal.

21 And he spake unto the children of Israel, saying, When your children shall ask their fathers in time to come, saying, What mean these stones?

22 Then ye shall let your children know, saying, Israel came over this Jordan on dry land.

23 For the LORD your God dried up the waters of Jordan from before you, until ye were passed over, as the LORD your God did to the Red sea, which he dried up from before us, until we were gone over:

24 That all the people of the earth might know the hand of the LORD, that it is mighty: that ye might fear the LORD your God for ever.

MEMORY VERSE: “That all the people of the earth might know the hand of the LORD, that it is mighty: that ye might fear the LORD your God for ever.” – Joshua 4:24

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE:
The Lord’s throne is in heaven and the earth His footstool. Let His hands lift you to the height where no enemy can reach you.

PRAISE WORSHIP: Take a worship song as led by the Holy Spirit

PROPHETIC WORD FOR TODAY:
THE HAND OF THE LORD IS UPON YOU FOR MIGHTY DELIVERANCE AND BREAKTHROUGHS, IN THE NAME OF JESUS.

The MESSAGE:

The hand of the Lord represents the omnipotence of God. It also represents approval. When the Bible talks about being in the right hand of God, it means to be in the special place of honour. God uses hands many times in the Bible. We read about Jesus healing through laying His hands on the sick or simply by touching them with His hands (Mark 6:5, Mark 8:23).

When we talk about the hand of the Lord, it means God’s power is on you to lead, guide, encourage, protect, strengthen and give you hope and courage.

The hand of the Lord is mighty. His hand dried River Jordan and parted the Red Sea. What is it that stands as an obstacle before you? Call upon the hand of the Lord that dried the Jordan to take it away. Cast your cares upon Him, He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Bearing your worries, stress and daily struggles by yourself is an indication that you have not trusted God fully with your life. God’s hand is mighty. Proverbs 21:1 says the heart of a king is in the hand of the Lord. This means that God has ultimate authority over everything. He has power over that situation confronting you because His hand is mighty.

The hand of the Lord is dangerous and deadly against His enemies. If you are a child of God, your enemies become God’s enemies. The Bible says that God’s hand is exalted, powerful and does valiantly. In Exodus 9:1-4, God’s hand was upon Pharaoh because he did not want God’s people to go out of bondage to their Promised Land. God’s hand troubled Pharaoh until it buried the heathen king in the Red Sea. So shall the Hand of God destroy all your stubborn Pharaohs, in the name of Jesus.

The Philistines thought they had defeated God because they had beaten Israel and captured the Ark of Covenant. They soon learned that no one can defeat God. Their sweet victory turned to sorrow as God’s hand began to destroy them with a plague (1 Samuel 5:11).

The victory and joy of the enemies over your life shall turn sour, in Jesus’ name. The Bible says that the judgement of God is coming against the wicked. God will pour out His fury on His enemies. When the hand of the Lord is against any person, that person is in extreme danger because there is no one on earth that can help the person. Once again, the hand of the Lord will be against all the enemies of your joy and peace, in Jesus’ name.
