FIRE SCRIPTURE: Luke 4:16-21 (KJV)

16 And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.

17 And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,

18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

20 And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.

21 And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears..

MFM Devotional For Today 2023 MESSAGE:

Today, many people (including Christians) are in financial bondage. Many of such people desire to be free but they do not know what to do. Their help is finally here. The Bible says that by knowledge shall the just be delivered. First, let us look at the symptoms that show that a person is in financial bondage? (1) Being in debt from time to time (2) Eating what is available and not what you want as well as when you want it. Poverty and financial bondage have compelled some people to eat just once a day, though they desire to eat thrice daily. (3) Heavy dependence on your parents or others for your livelihood or sustenance (4) Lack of adequate provision for yourself and your family (5) Lack of the basic needs of life such as food, clothing and shelter (6) Having more expenditure than income (7) Always borrowing and never lending or saving.

The source of financial bondage is the devil. He uses poverty and financial lack to shipwreck people’s faith, discourage and distract them from following and serving the Lord. It is disheartening but true that there are many individuals, families, churches and nations in financial bondage today. If all these victims will turn to the Lord and cry out for His help and intervention, they will be delivered. Beloved, God’s will for you is to live in financial prosperity and kingdom abundance. His promise is that even in the time of famine, His children shall be satisfied.

Are some or all of the symptoms of financial bondage mentioned above presently evident in your life? Perhaps, you are now having a financial crisis. Turn to God and His word for a perfect solution. Here are some biblically tested and proven steps to bring you out of financial cage and bring you into Kingdom prosperity specially reserved for the children of God: (1) Be genuinely born again (2) Be diligent (3) Be a generous giver to God, His Kingdom and the poor. Pay your tithe; give your firstfruit and offering faithfully (4) Be an avid reader and doer of God’s word (5) Live in obedience and be holy (6) Be a prayer addict. (7) Claim the victory and blessings of Christ’s finished work at Calvary as well as God’s promises to bless you.

PRAYER POINTS:

MORNING

  1. Covenant of financial bondage in my life, break by fire, in the name of Jesus.
  2. Any curse of poverty and financial distress working against my life, break by fire, in the name of Jesus.
  3. Evil foundational and ancestral powers withholding my financial breakthrough, release it now and die, in the name of Jesus.

EVENING

  1. Arrow of financial bondage and penury, go back to your sender now, in the name of Jesus.
  2. My stolen financial breakthrough, be restored to me now, in the name of Jesus.
  3. Heaven of uncommon favour and pleasant surprises, open for me now, in the name of Jesus.
  4. Angel of financial windfall, locate me by fire, in the name of Jesus.
