MFM Devotional For Today 2022 MESSAGE:

Yesterday, we learnt that the will of God is that His children should be glad and rejoice always. It is therefore your choice and an act of disobedience when you allow sadness to occupy your heart. Jesus admonished us not to give room for anxiety and worries on how our needs will be met. He identified this as the major source of sadness in many people’s lives (Matthew 6:20-30).

In the name of getting anxious and worried about how some believers will pay their house rents, children’s school fees, mortgage, and take care of other monetary needs, they have developed high blood pressure, cardiac problems and some stroke. Some people have even died in the process. Jesus called this needless pain and advised us to avoid it. If God could supply the needs of birds that have no farm and clothe, the grass of the field, He would supply our needs because we are of more value to Him than the birds of the air and the grass of the field.

Jesus went on to ask, “Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?” Worrying has never and will never add anything good to man. It will only subtract his health and snuff out his life. Avoid worrying!

Rather than worry yourself sick and fall into depression, I advise you to accept the invitation of Jesus. He said, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and l will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for l am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light” (Matthew 11:28-30).

Proverbs 17:22 says, “A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.” Worry, anxiety and depression lead to slow and untimely death. Take your burden or challenge to Jesus, our Burden bearer. He cares. The Lord still gives beauty for ashes and the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. Turn to Him in faith!

PRAYER POINTS:

MORNING

1. I bind and cast out the spirit of worry and anxiety, in the name of Jesus.
2. I am not hopeless and l am not helpless. God is my Sufficiency, in the name of Jesus.
3. The agenda of darkness to make me sad, be aborted now, in the name of Jesus.

4. O God, arise and give me beauty for ashes, in the name of Jesus.
5. My Father, give me the garment of praise in place of the spirit of heaviness, in the name of Jesus.

47. I command confusion and disagreement among the sons of the bondwoman planning to cage the nation, in Jesus’ name.
48. I break any covenant between any satanic external influence and our leaders, in the name of Jesus.
49. I paralyse every spirit of wastage of economic resources in this country, in the name of Jesus.
50. Spirit of borrowing, depart completely from this country, in the name of Jesus.
51. O Lord, show Yourself mightily in the affairs of this nation.

63. Every evil spiritual throne behind all physical thrones in Nigeria, be dismantled, in the name of Jesus.
64. Every satanic covenant, made on behalf of this country by anyone, be nullified, in the name of Jesus.
65. I trample upon the serpents and scorpions of ethnic clashes in this country, in the name of Jesus.
66. I decree a realignment of the situation around Christians to favour them in this country, in the name of Jesus.
67. I dethrone every strange king installed in the spirit over this country, in the name of Jesus.
