TOPIC: The Power Of Angelic Intervention (2) (Mountain Of Fire and Miracle Ministries, MFM Devotional 26 May 2024)

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Daniel 6:10-224 (KJV)

10 Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.

11 Then these men assembled, and found Daniel praying and making supplication before his God.

12 Then they came near, and spake before the king concerning the king’s decree; Hast thou not signed a decree, that every man that shall ask a petition of any God or man within thirty days, save of thee, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions? The king answered and said, The thing is true, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not.

13 Then answered they and said before the king, That Daniel, which is of the children of the captivity of Judah, regardeth not thee, O king, nor the decree that thou hast signed, but maketh his petition three times a day.

14 Then the king, when he heard these words, was sore displeased with himself, and set his heart on Daniel to deliver him: and he laboured till the going down of the sun to deliver him.

15 Then these men assembled unto the king, and said unto the king, Know, O king, that the law of the Medes and Persians is, That no decree nor statute which the king establisheth may be changed.

16 Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and cast him into the den of lions. Now the king spake and said unto Daniel, Thy God whom thou servest continually, he will deliver thee.

17 And a stone was brought, and laid upon the mouth of the den; and the king sealed it with his own signet, and with the signet of his lords; that the purpose might not be changed concerning Daniel.

18 Then the king went to his palace, and passed the night fasting: neither were instruments of musick brought before him: and his sleep went from him.

19 Then the king arose very early in the morning, and went in haste unto the den of lions.

20 And when he came to the den, he cried with a lamentable voice unto Daniel: and the king spake and said to Daniel, O Daniel, servant of the living God, is thy God, whom thou servest continually, able to deliver thee from the lions?

21 Then said Daniel unto the king, O king, live for ever.

22 My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions’ mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt.

23 Then was the king exceedingly glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him, because he believed in his God.

24 And the king commanded, and they brought those men which had accused Daniel, and they cast them into the den of lions, them, their children, and their wives; and the lions had the mastery of them, and brake all their bones in pieces or ever they came at the bottom of the den.

25 Then king Darius wrote unto all people, nations, and languages, that dwell in all the earth; Peace be multiplied unto you.

26 I make a decree, That in every dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel: for he is the living God, and stedfast for ever, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed, and his dominion shall be even unto the end.

27 He delivereth and rescueth, and he worketh signs and wonders in heaven and in earth, who hath delivered Daniel from the power of the lions.

28 So this Daniel prospered in the reign of Darius, and in the reign of Cyrus the Persian.

MEMORY VERSE: “My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions’ mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt.” – Daniel 6:22 (KJV)

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTES:
Be kind to strangers because it is the loving thing to do. Also, you never know they could be angels.

Take praise and worship songs as led by the Holy Spirit.

GOD’S ANGEL SHALL ENCAMP ROUND ABOUT YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. THEY SHALL DELIVER YOU FROM TROUBLE AND PROTECT YOU, IN THE NAME OF JESUS.

MFM Devotional For Today 2023 MESSAGE:

Yesterday, we identified an important role of God’s angels and what they do when they are sent by God to intervene in the affairs of mortals. We saw how one warrior angel sent by God went into the camp of the Assyrians, the enemy of God’s children in Judah and killed 185,000 soldiers in one night. Beloved, God still fights for His children and He will fight for you, in Jesus’ Name.

Today, we shall learn another area of intervention of God’s angels as recorded in the Bible. God’s angels set children of God free from danger, trouble and impending death. In Daniel, the enemies of Daniel, who were envious of his rising profile in the land of Babylon, had conspired and made the king to make a decree that no one should pray to any God except the king’s idols. Daniel knew that he owed his life and sustenance to God and his constant fellowship with Him. He knew the plan of the enemy was to stop him from praying and receiving help from his God. So he did not stop praying. Eventually, his enemies found him praying and reported him to the king. He had run foul of the law. Consequently, he was thrown into the den of a lion and his enemies expected him to be devoured.

The Bible says that many are the afflictions of the righteous but the Lord delivers him from them all. Daniel was a righteous man. God sent His angel to shut the mouth of the lions and he lived. The king praised the God of Daniel who is able to save to the uttermost and who put the counsel of the conspirators to nought.

We saw the great roles God’s angels played in the deliverance and preservation of Lot when God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah with fire. God sent two angels. The Bible says, “And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters, which are here; lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city. And while he lingered, the men laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters; the LORD being merciful unto him: and they brought him forth, and set him without the city. And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed… Haste thee, escape thither; for I cannot do anything till thou be come thither. Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar. The sun was risen upon the earth when Lot entered into Zoar. Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven;”

Beloved, the God of Daniel is still alive and He will shut the mouths of lions that want to devour you and disappoint the devices of the crafty in your life, in Jesus’ Name.

PRAYER POINTS:

MORNING

1. O God, arise and deliver me from the den of lions, in the Name of Jesus.
2. Satanic lions assigned to devour me, you are liars, die, in the Name of Jesus.
3. O God, arise and let my enemies die in my place, in the Name of Jesus.

EVENING

4. Powers that are raging against me because of my success story, die, in the Name of Jesus.
5. I overcome envious enemies and their powers, in the Name of Jesus.
6. O God, turn the joy of the enemy over me to sorrow, in the Name of Jesus.
7. My Father, cover my enemies with shame, in the Name of Jesus.
