TOPIC: The Power Of Angelic Intervention (4) (Mountain Of Fire and Miracle Ministries, MFM Devotional 28 May 2024)

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Luke 1:26-38 (KJV)

26 And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth,

27 To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary.

28 And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.

29 And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be.

30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.

31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus.

32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:

33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.

34 Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?

35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

36 And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren.

37 For with God nothing shall be impossible.

38 And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.

MFM Devotional For Today 2023 MESSAGE:

In the last three days, we have been looking at the power of angelic intervention. Beloved, it is clear to us now more than ever that God can change our situation from unpleasant to pleasant and from glory to greater glory by permitting angelic intervention in our lives. Today, we shall continue this interesting discourse.

Angels of God are also bearers and carriers of divine messages. Often, when they intervene in human affairs, it is to bring important messages from God to man, an individual or family or nation. In Luke 1:26-38 (our Fire Scripture) the Bible records the interesting story of Christ’s miraculous conception by Mary through the Holy Ghost and His birth. Angel Gabriel appeared unto a virgin called Mary and gave her the good news. She was surprised at the angel’s salutation which revealed her status according to the record in heaven and her destiny that would soon unfold. Being a virgin, she asked, “But how shall these things be?” The angel of the Lord answered her, “The Holy Ghost shall come upon you and the power of the Highest shall overshadow you…” The same angel gave Mary the good news that Elizabeth was pregnant with another destiny child from God who was later named John, the forerunner of Jesus. Again, when Jesus was born, angels appeared to some shepherds and said, Glory be to God in the Highest and on earth, goodwill and peace to men. We bring you glad tidings of great joy (Luke 2:8-20).

As carriers of glad tidings from heaven to man on earth, an angel announced the coming of Samson and told his parents his divine assignment as a judge and deliverer in Israel. An angel also announced the destiny of Gideon to him. He called Gideon a mighty man of valour and he was surprised just as Mary was about the angel’s salutation. The angel gave Gideon the good news about his assignment and glorious destiny.

Similarly, when God tested Abraham in Genesis 22 and he was at the point of killing or sacrificing Isaac on the altar he built on the Mountain of Moriah, it was an angel that intervened and told him not to kill Isaac because God had seen that he truly feared and honoured Him. Then he lifted his eyes and behind him was a ram that God had provided as replacement for Isaac for the sacrifice. Then the angel called on Abraham the second time and poured transgenerational blessings on him. In this particular event, the angel of God brought good news and blessings to Abraham.

An angel had spoken to Joseph in the dream, instructing him to take baby Jesus to Egypt because some people wanted to kill him. Later, when the enemies who wanted to kill Jesus had died, the angel of God appeared to Joseph in the dream again with the good news that those who wanted to kill Jesus had died and he could take the child back to their country.

I pray that, today, God will send His angels with good news and glad tidings of your breakthroughs, deliverance, victory, success, elevation and progress, in the Name of Jesus.

PRAYER POINTS:

MORNING

1. Glad tidings from heaven, my life is available, enter now, in the Name of Jesus.
2. Angel of miracles and testimonies, visit my family today, in the Name of Jesus.
3. The good news that will end several years of pain and hardship in my life, O God, release it to me now, in the Name of Jesus.

EVENING

4. O heaven, open the book of remembrance for me and my family today, in the Name of Jesus.
5. Angel of mercy and destiny fulfilment, I am available, locate me now, by fire, in the Name of Jesus.
6. Angel of bountiful supernatural blessings, manifest in my life now, in the Name of Jesus.
7. Father, by the intervention of Your angels, turn bad reports and bad news to good reports and glad tidings of great joy in my life, in the Name of Jesus.
