- Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God.
- They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing;
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: 2 Kings 1-3, John 3:22-36
MESSAGE:
Anyone can be whatever before God. You can choose to be any of His creatures and you can be a servant. Well, being a servant gives one a degree of access to God but you can go further by being a child. In fact, the reason Christ died is to make us sons, co-heirs with Him. As a co-heir with Christ, you have access to everything He has. You have free access to God, you can call upon Him anytime and ask for anything you want. You have a right to call Him Father. Romans 8:15 says:
“For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.”
You will also flourish like a palm tree planted by the rivers of water because you are planted in His house, you are a son. Thus, you will achieve success in whatever you do.
It is very easy to become a child of God. Just confess your sins and accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. Study the word of God and constantly communicate with your Father.
KEY POINT:
You can upgrade your relationship with God if you have been acting like a servant.
HYMN: In Christ Alone
- In Christ alone my hope is found
He is my light, my strength, my song;
This Cornerstone; this solid ground;
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm;
What heights of love, what depths of peace
When fears are stilled, when strivings cease
My Comforter, my All in All
Here in the love of Christ, I stand - In Christ alone, who took on flesh
Fullness of God in helpless babe
This gift of love and righteousness
Scorned by the ones He came to save
‘Til on that cross as Jesus died
The wrath of God was satisfied
For every sin on Him was laid
Here in the death of Christ I live, I live. - There in the ground His body lay
Light of the world by darkness slain
Then bursting forth in glorious Day
Up from the grave He rose again
And as He stands in victory
Sin’s curse has lost its grip on me
For I am His and He is mine
Bought with the precious blood of Christ - No guilt in life, no fear in death
This is the power of Christ in me
From life’s first cry to final breath
Jesus commands my destiny
No power of hell, no scheme of man
Can ever pluck me from His hand
Till He returns or calls me home
Here in the power of Christ I’ll stand.
