MEMORISE: For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. – Jeremiah 29:11

READ: Romans 8:28

28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Numbers 11-13

MESSAGE:

God created human beings with the ability to make choices in life. I had an ambition, and I was so determined to fulfill it, but when I totally surrendered my life to Christ, I realised that my destiny was bigger than my dream. My dream, which was to become the youngest Vice Chancellor in Africa, bowed to God’s will. Today, I am a pastor who has a whole University.

My dear, before you can fulfill your destiny, you need to know God’s purpose for your life. To know God’s purpose for your life, you have to completely submit your life to Him. After He has revealed to you His purpose, you have to live holy and serve Him faithfully.

However, it is possible to stray from your destiny if you stray from God. Thus, trust Him and never leave Him. As long as you are with Him, you will surely fulfill your purpose on earth.

PRAYER POINT:

Father, help me fulfill my glorious destiny, in Jesus’ name.

HYMN 6: I’m Pressing On The Upward Way

  1. I’m pressing on the upward way,
    New heights I’m gaining everyday;
    Still praying as I onward bound
    “Lord, plant my feet on higher ground.”

CHORUS
Lord, lift me up and let me stand,
By faith, on Heaven’s table-land;
Where love, and joy, and light abound,
Lord, plant my feet on higher ground.

  1. My heart has no desire to stay
    Where doubts arise, and fears dismay;
    Though some may dwell where these abound,
    My constant aim is higher ground.
  2. Beyond the mist I fain would rise,
    To rest beneath unclouded skies,
    Above earth’s turmoil peace is found
    By those who dwell on higher ground.
  3. I long to scale the utmost height,
    Though rough the way, and hard the fight,
    My song, while climbing, shall resound
    Lord, lead me on to higher ground.
  4. Lord, lead me up the mountain side
    I dare not climb without my Guide;
    And, heaven gained, I’ll gaze around,
    With grateful heart from higher ground.
