MEMORISE: Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter; Revelation 1:19
BIBLE READING: Habakkuk 2:2
2 And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.
MESSAGE:
A major instrument that has helped the consistent writing of the Open Heavens Devotional is my quiet time jotter, where I write down my understanding of Scriptures and the revelations I get from God. Also, from there, I’m able to write different books and other publications. God inspired about 40 men to write the Bible, which has served and is still serving as a guide to God’s children on how to live a successful Christian life.
A saying goes: the pen is mightier than the sword. This is true because written words are powerful. Unlike speech, what is written cannot be easily denied. When you write words down, you will have access to details that your brain did not immediately take note of in the first instance. Therefore, my dear child, cultivate the habit of writing your ideas. Ensure that you always have a pen and notepad with you, and if you have a smartphone, you can use your phone’s notepad.
You can also keep a journal in which you can write down your successes and mistakes so you can learn from them. Write your goals and visions too so that you can stay focused on them and fulfil God’s purpose for your life.
ACTION POINT:
Keep a journal where you write down your goals, visions, and revelations.
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
Exodus 34:1-35:9, Matthew 27:15-31
HYMN 23: Take My Life, And Let It Be
- Take my life, and let it be
Consecrated, Lord, to Thee;
Take my moments and my days,
Let them flow in ceaseless praise,
Let them flow in ceaseless praise. - Take my hands, and let them move
At the impulse of Thy love;
Take my feet and let them be
Swift and beautiful for Thee,
Swift and beautiful for Thee. - Take my voice, and let me sing
Always, only, for my King;
Take my lips, and let them be
Filled with messages from Thee,
Filled with messages from Thee. - Take my silver and my gold;
Not a mite would I withhold;
Take my intellect, and use
Every power as Thou shalt choose,
Every power as Thou shalt choose. - Take my will, and make it Thine;
It shall be no longer mine.
Take my heart; it is Thine own;
It shall be Thy royal throne,
It shall be Thy royal throne. - Take my love; my Lord, I pour
At Thy feet its treasure-store.
Take myself, and I will be
Ever, only, all for Thee,
Ever, only, all for Thee.
