TOPIC: Falsely Accused? [Open Heaven for Teens 12 January 2023]

MEMORISE: Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Matthew 5:11

READ: Exodus 14:14

14 The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Genesis 39-41

MESSAGE:

It can be difficult to heal from false accusations, especially if you had been punished before the truth was revealed. Christians are always victims of false accusations because people will always want to find fault in anything they do. However, James 1:2-3 says:

“My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience”

When you are accused falsely of something you didn’t do, try to explain with humility the exact thing that happened, but if no one believes you, see it as a test of your faith. Instead of getting angry, rejoice and move on, knowing that time will reveal the truth. It is important to rejoice because it will prevent you from hating those who accused you wrongly or from seeking revenge. Rejoice because God is on your side

PRAYER POINT

Father, in any way I have been falsely accused, please vindicate me in Jesus’ name.

HYMN 4 – On A Hill Far Away

  1. On a hill far away
    Stood an old rugged cross,
    The emblem of suffering and shame;
    And I love that old cross
    Where the dearest and best
    For a world of lost sinners was slain.

Chorus
So I’ll cherish the old rugged cross
Till my trophies at last I lay down;
I will cling to the old rugged cross;
And exchange it someday for a crown.

  1. Oh, that old rugged cross
    So despised by the world,
    Has a wondrous attraction for me;
    For the dear Lamb of God
    Left His glory above,
    To bear it to dark Calvary.
  2. In the old rugged cross,
    Stained with blood so divine,
    A wondrous beauty I see;
    For ’twas on that old cross
    Je-sus suffered and died,
    To par -don and sanc-ti-fy me.
  3. To the old rugged cross
    I will ever be true,
    Its shame and reproach gladly bear;
    Then He’ll call me some day
    To my home far away,
    Where His glory for-ever share
