TOPIC: Wake And Clean! [Open Heaven for Teens 12 March 2021]

MEMORISE: Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. – 3 John 1:2

READ: 1 Corinthians 6:19

19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Deuteronomy 17-19, Mark 14:1-72

MESSAGE:

Maintaining a good hygiene is very important. Every minute, you come in contact with germs and viruses which can stay longer on your body, and in many cases, cause sickness. Practicing good hygiene will help you stay healthy.

When my children were younger, I taught them how to wake early to do chores. They knew how to lay their bed, wash their hands after using the restroom (now there are hand sanitizers), wash their plates after every meal, wash their underwear every two days and do their full laundry at weekends. These are good hygiene practices that contribute to good health and help you stay away from the hospital. As you attain puberty, you should bathe and brush your teeth in the morning and before bed time to rinse away dead skin cells and germs from your mouth and hands. When your body is in good health, it will be easy for your soul to prosper. Dirtiness is not a true representation of God. He is holy.

KEY POINT:

Do a thorough cleaning of your room and house every weekend. Develop good hygiene habits.

HYMN 7: Christian, Seek Not Yet Repose

  1. Christian, seek not yet repose
    Hear thy gracious Savior say;
    Thou art in the midst of foes:
    Watch and pray.
  2. Principalities and power
    Mustering their unseen array
    Wait for the unguarded hours:
    Watch and pray
  3. Gird the heavenly armor on,
    Wear it ever night and day;
    Ambushed lies the evil one:
    Watch and pray.
  4. Hear the victors who o’ercame,
    Still they mark each warrior’s way;
    All with one sweet voice exclaim,
    Watch and pray.
  5. Hear, above all, hear thy Lord,
    Him thou loves to obey;
    Hide within thy heart His word:
    Watch and pray.
  6. Watch, as if on that alone
    Hung the issue of the day;
    Pray, that help may be sent down:
    Watch and pray.
